I went ahead and bought Super Paper Mario at Walmart tonight for a whooping total of $53.62. I was getting antsy from being bored out of my mind, with nothing to do on the computer and no class work to do and nothing to do when I'm done with class work so I got the game tonight to keep myself busy. It isn't very often that I 'treat' myself to things like this because I am very frugal when it comes to money; I don't like spending it and when/if I do, I always try to get the best deals...the only thing I really "waste" money on is getting lunch after classes because it's easy but even then I try to curtail doing so. Anyways...I'm off to play Super Paper Mario for a bit before I head to bed, I think I've convinced my mom to go shopping with me this weekend - I want to get some new clothes or at least look - which will keep me busy while the boyfriend is gone hanging out with his buddy who is moving to Arizona on Monday. Bye!
I have yet to live on my own but it's something that I am very excited about doing in the near future because not only will it allow me to be an adult completely, but I get to decorate my apartment the way I want too. I found a really awesome, contemporary furniture website that has some amazing deals on a variety of unique looking furniture. I am all for modern design and this site has some great finds; take a look at the sofa below, is that not seek or what? Not only that but they sell contemporary bedroom and dining room sets, I will definitely have to search through the site more and see what I can find because when I move out, I'll need some furniture to get in the apartment! Now it's just convincing the boyfriend to like the same style I do :)
Damn it!
Over the years as I've gotten older, it's been hard trying to figure out what I want for birthdays and Christmas because it isn't as easy as going to the toy store anymore and picking out random toys. No, I want big, nice, expensive things like electronics...and last year, since I couldn't think of anything that I absolutely wanted I told my mom to get me a Nintendo Wii if she could get her hands on one (big Zelda fan!). Of course, she couldn't find one during the holiday season which was expected but my aunt was running around Target one day and got lucky and found one, so I got my Wii in February.
Anyways...I've had the damn thing since February and only have ONE game for it, shows how much I actually play/use it right? However, I've wanted Super Paper Mario since I played it in May at the ex's house and have been on a search to find it at it's lowest price, of course I've had no luck. New Wii games run about $49.99 which is expected as most console games run about that much but I just can't justify paying $50 for a game right now no matter how much I want it; maybe at a later date. So, I get the smart idea of searching around stores like Gamestop, Babbage's, and EB Games which sell USED games, I figured maybe I could find a used copy of Super Paper Mario and save some bucks; well I found it at Gamestop last night and let me tell you...I was like WTF? The USED copy was $44.99, I turned to my mom and said "I may as well just buy the damn thing NEW!" Grr, why do they do that? :hmm:
I did it, I finally did it...I booked my flight and hotel to Michigan, I leave October 19th at 12:15pm and arrive in Detroit at 2:30pm (non-stop flight) and will come home on October 22nd at 9:32pm and arrive in Charleston at 11:35pm (non-stop flight). I am very excited and feel so much better now that I finally booked everything; I was stressing out because of the money issue (it ended up costing $433 for the flight & hotel combined) even though we are splitting everything down the middle (each paying $216), but Alan reassured me he was okay on his end and that everything would be fine. I'm not really a freak when it comes to money, it's just that over the years I have grown to not ask for anything or to do anything involving money unless it's something I absolutely needed.
My parents never had extra money lying around to just go out and do things and I always felt bad if I asked for something because I'd get told that we didn't have the money or just feel bad in general and so I learned to just stop asking. I don't spend a lot of money, I pay the bills that I have which is just the cable bill and help my mom when I can so when it comes down to actually spending money and large amounts of it; I don't like it. Of course, the money spent on this trip will be beyond well worth it, that's just how I am when it comes to money and believe me, I searched and searched for the best deal possible but after noticing it had jumped from $408 to $433 in the span of a few hours I had to get it booked so that it didn't sky rocket in price. :) I can't wait!!

at 3am needing to go to sleep yet can't sleep because I slept all day! I tell you what, my sleeping schedule is so messed up: go to sleep around 3-4am, get up for class, come home from class and take a nap because I end up being tired from not getting enough sleep the night before. With my stomach on the outs today, I skipped class and stayed home and slept all day...which means I'm wide awake. Grr. Not to mention, I have a long day at school tomorrow since I have labs on Wednesday which run from 2pm - 5pm; luckily, we have yet have a lab that's run the entire length of time so hopefully today will be the same.
In the recent months, my aunt and uncle have done some home improvements to their house which they have lived in for about 9 or so years maybe. Recently, they added on a closed in porch so that they could enjoy being outside even when it rains and because my aunt is deathly afraid of frogs, she can now enjoy the hot tub because the room is closed in. A few years ago, my grand father decided to extend their driveway and repave it...I wish he would have chosen a material other than plain concrete as driveways made out of coble similar to those on the Anglian Home Improvement site are gorgeous, in my opinion and add flare and value to the property. Personally, it's one of the things that I can't wait to experience in life: owning my own home where I can add my own personal style to it through various home improvement projects! I have something to look forward too that's for sure.
Stop being a jerk and stop hurting...you've been running off like crazy since yesterday afternoon, I didn't get any sleep because you were hurting so bad and then today, I was so hungry and afraid to eat since you've been running off every time I do but I went ahead and ate anyways and what do you know...10 minutes later I'm in the bathroom! My booty hurts, lol so cut it out!
I'm not a big beer fan and have yet to actually find one that I can handle the taste of, however, my aunt and uncle drink beer quite frequently...okay, maybe just at major family events/cook outs; either way I think that they would love a Home Brewing Kits as a present. The easy to navigate site offers a selection of home brewing kits along with ingredients to make different brews as well as the equipment needed. Not only that, but they are giving a 10% discount to all new customers that order a kit via their site and if for any reason that you are not satisfied they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I'm definitely bookmaking this website and keeping it in mind for a future present :)
I have had the worst headache since I got home from class today, I thought it was because I hadn't eaten anything for lunch but as soon as I walked in the door, I literally went straight to the kitchen and fixed lunch; it didn't really help. I fell asleep around 1-2pm because I had only gotten about 3 hours of sleep last night and was woken up by Alan who called to tell me he was on his way home from work (he always calls when he gets out of work). I got up for a short period of time to talk to him around 4pm and went back to sleep around 5...I just got up a few minutes ago and my head is still pounding. I need to find some medicine to take. This has been happening a lot as of lately and I'm not sure why, usually I only get bad headaches if I'm really stressed out (I'm not right now) or I'm having sinus problems, but I'm having neither! Hrm...hopefully I'll feel better.
